Be an integral part of a design platform; lead the development of new /existing products from cradle to grave. Liaise with customers /product engineers in identification of product test specifications. Test products, analyse results, make recommendations and produce technical reports. Solve product failures /problems using CADDS5, CATIA 5 & Analysis software. Conduct reviews; provide an understanding of tolerance studies /FMEA’s for new /existing products. Design, build /supervise (internal /external contractors) innovative test fixtures /control equipment. Produce component /assembly drawings to support prototype /production releases. Release prototype /production drawings in line ETRS.
Min BSc /BEng Mechanical /Electrical, Test/Development Eng, 5 yrs Automotive Components Ind/ Vehicle Manufacture exp, Knowledge of stamping, injection moulding, electronics, electrics and pneumatics. Familiar with CADD’S/CATIA 5 system employing both surface and solid modelling
